ALFIE & BROOKBedford & Biggleswade

Alfie and Brook are approx. 1 year old. Both are white, with a black spot on their head. Alfie and Brook are brother and sister and came into our care when they were found as a stray with their mum and sibling in Wilstead. Because they had no human contact in their first weeks, they can be very shy of people. However when they are settled they love to play, in fact they can be absolute terrors running around and causing mayhem.

Alfie and Brook are looking for a home with no dogs. And because of how shy they will be to start with we think a home with children teenager or older would be more suitable. They could, however live with another cat, if introduced slowly. Alfie and Brook are neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.

Alfie and Brook will be shy when they first go to a new home, and will look for places to hide. We would, therefore, strongly advise that when they are adopted they spend their first week, or so, in one room, where the new family will be able to spend time with them. This will allow them to gain trust of the new family and get to know them. We would strongly recommend that a Feliway diffuser* is used at this time. After about a week, or so, they could then be let out of the room to explore the house further.

(*Feliway is an easy-to-use product that helps create a loving and comfortable home environment where your cat will spend more time with you. It is supplied as a plug-in diffuser. This special scent (odourless to people and other animals) that Feliway utilizes is a replication of the pheromone that cats leave naturally when they are feeling comfortable in their environment. Plug in a Feliway Diffuser, if possible, 48 hours before bringing your new cat home. The diffuser lasts four weeks and will help your cat adjust to its new home.)
