COOKIE & IVYBedford & Biggleswade

Ivy & Cookie are beautiful 6-month-old sisters, Ivy is black & white fur and Cookie a fluffy tabby.

These gorgeous siblings are looking for a home together. Ivy is nervous while Cookie is surer of herself. Both girls will happily run around your feet (especially when their food bowls are being refilled) and Cookie will enjoy a fuss and being picked up for short periods once she knows you, Ivy will take longer to bond and is only just letting her fosterer stroke her. However, if a few treats are involved she can forget quite a few of her nerves!

New owners need to be aware that Cookie has been found positive for the calicivirus – a strain of cat flu, while this is having no effect on her at all and will not prevent her going outside and living a normal life we and our vet consultant would recommend that this pair live as the only cats in a household to reduce the possibility of passing the infection on (unvaccinated cats and kittens are particularly susceptible to the infection) Ivy is fully vaccinated and as she has been with Cookie since birth can remain with her.

It is possible that due to her calicivirus, Cookie may need a dental in the future. Should this be directly related to the calicivirus then Cats Protection Bedford Branch would assist with the cost of this.

Ivy and Cookie have lived with children, but we would say 8-year olds or above would be better due to Ivy’s shyness. A home with no dogs and as mentioned before no other cats and away from busy roads would be ideal for this pair.

Both are neutered, microchipped and having vaccines brought up to date ready for you to take them to their new home.
